Hope Alexander-Willis is an American actress best known for her roles in the films The Last Picture Show (1971), The Sting (1973), and The Rose (1979). She was born on June 16, 1947 in the United States. Alexander-Willis began her career in the late 1960s, appearing in several television series such as The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She made her feature film debut in 1971's The Last Picture Show, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In 1973, Alexander-Willis starred in the classic crime caper The Sting, alongside Paul Newman and Robert Redford. She then appeared in the 1979 rock musical The Rose, starring Bette Midler. Alexander-Willis has also appeared in numerous television movies and miniseries, including The Awakening Land (1978), The Women's Room (1980), and The Thorn Birds (1983). Alexander-Willis has been married twice, first to actor Michael Brandon from 1971 to 1976, and then to actor/director Robert Willis from 1979 to 1983.
