2000 - Acting as a media consultant for an international peace-keeping organization in Bosnia.
Appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show (1986), to discuss her Charlie perfume commercials and their impact on American women in the 1970s. Oprah Winfrey proclaimed her fascination with her televised ads, and that, back then, she wanted to be her or, at least, to be able to walk with Shelley's swag. [January 2008]
Hack was hired to replace Paula Kelly as the public defender at the beginning of the second season of Night Court (1984), but she left over "artistic differences" before the completion of only one episode, which was rerecorded with Markie Post. Ellen Foley then finished out that season before Post was hired permanently.
Her character of Tiffany Welles on Charlie's Angels: Of Ghosts and Angels (1980), in which she was the paranormal-investigating and starring "angel", was later reprised by Michelle Pfeiffer for What Lies Beneath (2000). That movie relies heavily on the TV episode's plot, and borrowed quite a few of its elements.
However, her big break came in 1979 when Charlie's Angels (1976) was casting a replacement for Kate Jackson. Hack was chosen to play Tiffany Welles, however, she lasted only 1 season before she herself was replaced.
Is the only one of the six angels of "Charlie's Angels", who appeared in a film that won (or even nominated) Best Picture Academy Award. She appeared in Annie Hall (1977).
Replaced Kate Jackson on the classic series, Charlie's Angels (1976), for the entire season 4. With her arrival, the angels were glammed up with expensive, elegant clothes and fancy jewels, with costume designer Nolan Miller at the helm.
Then in the 1970s she was Charlie's perfume girl in TV commercials, after which she went on to appear in bit parts in TV shows and movies.
